Welcome to Thames DTC! We are a friendly bunch of dog people who love
to train & compete with our dogs in agility & obedience.
The Thames Dog Training Club was founded in 1961 and provides a means for local people to meet and train their dogs in a friendly and fun environment. Based in the Maidenhead area,
we have members from many different towns around the County of Berkshire
Our members vary in age range and span a wide range of professions. We have families,
business people, men, women and children who enjoy the wide range of activities we provide.
Agility Section
Agility is a great sport not only for your dog but also yourself. It keeps both parties fit! But like any sport you need to train, learn and most importantly make sure your doing agility safe. Training is held every Tuesday (unless stated on members fb page) and we have classes for all ages & grades. We are a friendly bunch and love to train together. We all go to shows, camp, ring party and compete all over, with some of our members even making it to the famous green carpet at Crufts. Classes run on Tuesday evenings
7pm - 10pm (this includes setting & putting equipment away) also depends
which class your in 1st or 2nd.
Classes are held indoors at BCA, Hall Place, Burchetts Green Rd, Burchett's Green, Maidenhead SL6 6QR
Obedience is a great sport for you and your dog. Especially if you're wanting to make that bond stronger with your dog & even better teach them some amazing skills. We run obedience classes every Monday for all ages & levels of dogs. From puppy foundation to top level. We compete all over and some of our amazing team members have competed at Crufts also. Classes run on Monday evenings
Class times vary depending on courses at the time, bout roughly they are;
Good Citizen courses - 6.00pm till 6.45pm, 6.45pm till 7.30pm
Advanced - 7.30pm till 9pm
Classes are held at Knowl Hill Village Hall.
